With an aim of becoming a Top 100 accountancy firm within 10 year’s time, it was essential that Aston Shaw worked to stand out from the competition.
In order to increase Aston Shaw’s growth, a focused marketing strategy alongside consistent, high-quality implementation would be key.
Growth requires innovation. We have achieved this since working with Aston Shaw by approaching their marketing strategy from all angles. After looking closely at the existing Aston Shaw brand and evaluating the accountancy sector, we set to work implementing new marketing campaigns and revamping existing brand assets.
We increased awareness of the brand through targeted PPC campaigns, landing pages and an optimised, responsive and user-friendly website. Our work on Aston Shaw’s website did not go unnoticed – winning four gold and one bronze award for Responsive Website, Best B2B website and Blog: Business at the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards. One of the judges commented: “With an increasing number of people browsing the internet exclusively on their phone or tablet, it’s vital to offer them a satisfying user experience. In an industry still finding its digital feet, it’s refreshing to see a firm of chartered accountants taking on the challenge of a slick, responsive website, and winning!”
In 2018, we updated the website with a refreshed look to focus on a seamless user experience and an interface that would allow Aston Shaw’s internal team to update content easily. New features include a ‘popular services’ section in the menu, a lighter and brighter home page and more informative contact pages to help Aston Shaw’s clients to quickly find their nearest office.
Due to the fact that the accountancy sector is very traditional, we have never limited our marketing strategies to purely digital methods, and have made sure to feature branded print advertising. Winning highlights include a regular monthly feature in the EDP Norfolk Magazine that features branded, bespoke illustrations, two prominent billboard campaigns placed in high traffic areas and a number of advertisements placed in conjunction with Run Norwich, a high-profile local event that Aston Shaw sponsor.
We also overhauled the design of Aston Shaw’s exhibition set-up, including roll-up banners, graphic wraps and branded presentations. To ensure even their office exemplifies their brand values to staff and clients alike, we designed interior graphics for Aston Shaw’s head office – including frosted vinyl for the glass meeting rooms and custom illustrations of the Norwich skyline for the reception area.
All this and much more ongoing work has secured Aston Shaw’s place as the fastest growing accountancy firm in the region.
