The SenLab Group

The Client

The SenLab Group develops innovative FinTech products which aim to provide businesses of all sizes with affordable predictive intelligence systems.

The group started up back in 2017 with the inception of the first of their products, Prosper BI. The business has since seen an incredible amount of growth, highlighted by their rapid transition from a start-up to scale-up within the first year of trading.

The Objective

The SenLab Group gave us the exciting challenge of helping to raise awareness of Prosper BI in the business community. They also required our help with some graphic design to raise their profile at events and a prospectus to aid them in generating new investment.

Our Solution

We planned to generate this awareness through the implementation of a PR strategy. This involved writing monthly articles detailing the interesting news and important developments within The SenLab Group. Given the continuous period of rapid growth the company was (and is!) seeing, this was something in which we were certain there would be no shortage of! Once written, the articles would then be sent out to a contact list of journalists working for local, national and international news publishers.

One of the most successful pieces written, pitched and published centered around the expertise and knowledge CEO George had acquired through securing funding for his start-up business, despite being just 19 years old. Given the difficulties which many people have with securing funding, we felt the idea of writing an article which not only championed George’s impressive achievement of securing £300,000 of investment from angel investors alone in his first year of pitching, but also included some pieces of advice from George which could help others to do the same. Understandably, the local journalists were very keen to feature this story in their respective publications, with ‘7 start-up funding tips from a teenage CEO’ being quickly picked up by several journalists.

Working in tandem with the monthly PR, we also managed the Prosper BI LinkedIn page. Before creating any content, we made the decision to set George up with his own account on our agency level social media software which would make it easier to schedule content and for The Senlab Group team to review and approve it. It wasn’t long before the newly created Prosper BI page began to grow and complement the PR strategy; many of the posts promoting the PR articles received a lot of engagement with the target audience.

To help with Prosper BI’s presence at events, we designed some leaflets to inform potential customers about the innovative new software and market the beta pricing scheme. We also designed a series of roller banners to grab the attention of passers-by at events and prompt them to enquire about Prosper BI.

We also created a 26 page investment prospectus for Prosper BI, designed to persuade potential investors to stake their claim in Prosper BI. This involved custom graphics, meticulous copy proofing and a very quick turnaround – which left our clients, their advisors and the potential investors very impressed. The prospectus accompanied George and his team to Dubai, where it played a crucial part in successfully securing the funding needed.

The continued efforts of our team for The SenLab Group have helped to raise awareness of the business both nationally and further afield, further propelling The SenLab Group’s rapid growth.

We entrusted Hype with the difficult task of transforming a previous investment prospectus into a VC ready.
